Factory-Authorizedrepair center for many types of Wastewater lab equipment. We offer in-house repair for customers throughout the United States. We offer on-site repair throughout most of Wisconsin and the UP. We perform both in-warranty and non-warranty repairs.

For in-warranty repairs on items purchased from NCL: You get TOP priority! These are usually tested within One Day of receipt. We have a LARGE stock of repair parts for the items we sell. Average turn-around time for items requiring repairs in 3 DAYS. Compare this with 6-8 WEEKS from other repair facilities, including the manufacturers.

FOR ANY REPAIR, ALWAYS CALL FIRST!!

Our factory-trained technicians can often help you pinpoint the problem over the telephone, this saving you down-time and money. Often, the problem can be solved by replacing a probe or a system component which you can purchase and install yourself. This service is FREE, but we expect you will purchase the parts from NCL.

For non-warranty repairs, we have low standard diagnostic charges for most equipment. Our technicians will inform you of these charges and you can decide whether to repair or replace the equipment before you stick any money into it.

If you decide to check out out or repair your equipment:

  1. Call First!!!
  2. Our repair department will give you instructions for packing, insuring and shipping the equipment to us for repair.
  3. Insurance is very important. Insurance is fairly cheap and becomes very important if the carrier loses or damages your shipment. We can not be responsible for packages we did not receive.
  4. Proper packing is very important, especially with delicate equipment, such as analytical balances, and heavy equipment such as sterilizers (autoclaves). Every year we receive a few items that were damaged in shipment due to improper packing, and the cost of repairing the shipping damage exceeded the cost of repairing the original problem. If you want us to repair an item damaged in shipping, you are responsible for paying for it. You can then file a claim with the carrier, but if it was not packed properly, good luck in ever getting paid. It is far better to pack properly and avoid this problem!
  5. ALWAYS include your name, phone number and a brief description of the problem on a piece of paper inside the box. Carriers have a habit of obliterating the return address on packages, evidently because some of their employees are not smart enough to determine what “FROM” and “TO” mean. (It all depends on what your definition of "is" is). We can not contact you or return the equipment unless we know who sent it. Be sure to include your name and phone number to insure that the item will be repaired to your satisfaction and returned promptly

For in-warranty repairs on items not purchased from NCL:

Yes, in most cases, we will repair the items, even if you purchased them elsewhere. Please include a copy of your invoice for the product, along with a specific description of the problem.

For on-site repairs:

For large items, such as stills, hard-plumbed DI systems, large ovens, etc., it may not be practical for you to ship them to us. Our on-site repair area includes most of Wisconsin and the U.P. Please call 800-648-7836 to arrange for an on-site repair

But remember, it is ALWAYS cheaper for you to ship the item to us than to have it repaired on site. For in-house repairs, you are only charged for the actual repair time. For on-site repairs, you are charged from when the technician departs our plant to when he returns. Often, two trips are necessary to accomplish the repair--one to diagnose the problem, and a second to perform the repair. Although we have a large stock of repair parts, we can not possibly stock every part for every model of every item that is out there. So, if at all possible, it is cheaper for you, and less time-consuming for us, to do repairs at our facility.

Note:

Manufacturers' warranties may be voided by unauthorized tampering with the equipment. Each year, we get a few items in for repair which were previously “fixed” by some self-appointed expert, and it's not a pretty sight.
